Tonya Sells, R.D.A.

Tonya Sells is a Registered Dental Assistant with certification in radiography, nitrous delivery, sealant placement, and coronal polishing. She has been a registered dental assistant for over seven years. Tonya is the lovely wife of Denny Sells and they have two wonderful daughters, Sara and Shaina. Denny is an Animal Health Specialist for TN Farmers Coop and works throughout the state of Tennessee. Sara is a student at Livingston Academy where she enjoys the sciences and the other typical pursuits of teenagers. Shaina is at Livingston Middle School where she is a cheerleader, softball player, and anything else athletic she can find to do. Both girls love to spend time with the family on their farm. We are very glad to have Tonya at our office!

Patty Dycus

Patty says her job title is “Manager of Special Projects.” She helps us with insurance, computers, web page, and other technical projects. She is also a Registered Dental Assistant with certification in radiography, nitrous delivery, and coronal polishing. Patty is the wife of Dr. Richard Dycus. They have two children, Megan and Will. As well as being our S.P. Manager, she also teaches Chemistry at TTU as an Adjunct Professor. She has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering but her real love is her family and sand, sun, and waves.

Theresa Dover White

Theresa is our Administrative Assistant. Her voice is the one you most frequently hear answer the phone. Theresa has been part of our team for 10 years. Theresa attended Livingston Vo-Tech and graduated in 1994 as a Medical Assistant and also went back in 2002 for Dental Assisting. Theresa is orginally from Sparta, Tennessee. Theresa now resides in Cookeville with her husband Dwayne. Dwayne has been employed at Perdue Farms for 10+ years in the Maintenance Dept. They have 2 daughters Mary Beth and Brittany. But, more importantly she has two Wonderful grandchildren, Shaylee and Cyrus. Theresa’'s hobbies are history and genealogy, and of course, grandchildren!

Lee Ann Pennington Massengille, R.D.H.

Lee Ann is a graduate of the ETSU dental hygiene program. She has been a part of our team for 20 years. Lee Ann received the Hu-Friedy Gold Scaler Award upon graduation and was also elected as a member of the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental hygiene Honor Society. She has recently attended a course at Chattanooga State to be able to administer local anesthesia. She has been an active member of the 6th District Hygiene Association and has served in officer roles for that organization. She is married to James Massengille. James is an insurance agent with The Swallows Agency here in Cookeville. Lee Ann and James are both orginally from Livingston but now live in Cookeville. They are the parents of 3 very active boys James Matt, John Clay and Jack.

Deidra Garrett, R.D.H.

Deidra Garrett, R.D.H. is one of our hygienists in our dental hygiene department joining us in the summer of 2009. Deidra is a local girl as she is a native of Livingston and a graduate of Livingston Academy (Go Wildcats!). She attended Tennessee Tech University where she was an avid Cross Country runner. Upon completion of her time at TTU, Deidra was accepted to Hygiene School at East Tennessee State University where she completed her Dental Hygiene degree. She and her husband, Jesse reside here in Cookeville. Deidra's hobbies are running, shopping, and playing with her dogs. Her most recently acquired hobby is her new baby, Garrett. Garrett is a beautiful little girl with her mother's smile. We are so pleased Deidra has joined our team!

Tammie Brown Garrett

Tammie is our dental assistant. Tammie is a Putnam County native. She has been in the dental profession for most of her life. Her father Harvey Brown owned one of the first dental labs in Putnam County. She is married to J.R. Garrett who works for Royal Crown Cola. They have one daughter Chelsea. Tammie loves the outdoors and has a beautiful yard due to her and J.R.’s hard work and green thumbs.

Lora Wilton, R.D.H.

Lora Watson Wilton is an excellent Dental Hygienist here at DycusDental.

Lora grew up in Giles County, TN and graduated from Richland High School. She then attended Tennessee Tech here in Cookeville where she did her dental hygiene pre-requisites and, more importantly, met her husband Jason. She then went on to Memphis to the University of Tennessee HSC where she completed her B.S. in Dental Hygiene. During her education, Lora was a member of the National Honor Society.

Lora recently married Jason Wilton, a Cookeville native. Jason graduated from TTU with a B.S. in Biology and works for Pennington and Associates here in Cookeville.

Lora enjoys the outdoors, including biking and running, and also enjoys crafts. She loves playing with her dog, Snugz, and watching her fishies which are the newest addition to their family.
